Visit Easingwold – it’s Wold Class!
There are so many charms and advantages, living in a lovely Georgian market town like Easingwold – it’s Wold Class! Firstly, it is small enough to feel cosy, friendly and welcoming. Secondly, it has plenty to offer residents so that there is not often a need to travel further afield to find what you require. Thirdly, it is pretty, historical and charming enough to attract visitors who can also experience what the residents are lucky enough to have on their doorstep. Oh, and it is also wold class! Or did I mention that already?
Easingwold has banks, a post office, cafes, pubs, clothing stores, a newsagents, supermarkets, hairdressers, barbers, a chemist, a D.I.Y store, accountants, solicitors, financial consultants, butchers, a web design business, a printers, estate agents, a jewellers, bakeries, a florist, a carpet shop, and an off-licence.
As if all of that isn’t enough to keep you happily amongst its convenience and charms, there is a lovely Art Gallery featuring new prints by Kate Lycett and Rebecca Vincent, amongst many others. They also do bespoke framing, so a little hare told us. What more could a resident or visitor want?
Easingwold – it really is a wold of your own!
Our Yorkshire Gallery
Lockdown has slowly changed the way we live our lives and we have all been through many ups and downs in recent weeks, but we are now looking forward to the imminent re-opening of our Yorkshire gallery on Tuesday, 16th June. It has been too long! So much has been happening behind the scenes though – a bit of painting, some new shelves, a repainting of the floor, sprucing up here and there. We even have a newly framed sign in the window from which Harold now proudly hangs.
Galleries and Yorkshire go hand in hand in many ways – so much beauty and originality in both – and the landscape in God’s Own County makes excellent use of nature’s palette. We have been working on our website too. You will be able to learn more about our talented artists and see examples of their work. Work is ongoing, so do keep an eye as more details and images are added.
The best news is that we are working on an online shop! If you are unable to pop in, you need never miss the opportunity to add to your art collection. Watch this space!
Five years and counting in our Yorkshire gallery
This particular Yorkshire gallery, proudly situated in the pretty Georgian market town of Easingwold, is very special to us and we have missed you, our loyal customers. We were disappointed not to have been able to celebrate our fifth birthday with you on 9th May, but we hope that, very soon, we can make up for it.
As they say, all good things come to those who wait…..

New Year, New Gallery
We decided to start 2017 with a revamp – nothing like starting the year as you mean to go on! With the help of one of our popular artists, Neil McBride, we installed a new hanging system, which is, of course, a much easier and more attractive way of displaying wall art.
We also took the opportunity to change our display and relaxation space. Now the couch is more central and more inviting. Customers can sit and browse through the art books on the coffee table and take in the ambience.
The re-arrangement of our display units has added more interest and has even created more space! Consequently a new unit is on the cards.
We are extremely happy with the results and hope you are too. Come visit us soon!
